One of my favorite moments for Jordan travel photography. Our guide, Feras, led us to this desert viewpoint where the sky transformed from golden to pink-purple. Sitting in silence, I realized that photographing Jordan was more than capturing landscapes—it was capturing emotion.

Walking with my GAdventures small group through the Siq felt like stepping into a hidden world. Every turn had me holding my breath before the grand reveal.

After hiking all 860 steps to the Monastery, I found one of the best spots for Petra travel photography. So many visitors miss this place, but for solo travelers seeking adventure and stunning photos, this is a must.

Sleeping under a sky like this, with the Milky Way overhead, is an experience I’ll never forget. I took this with my iPhone 12 Pro Max, long exposure mode. Worth every grain of sand in my shoes.

While I didn’t ride the camels in Wadi Rum, I sure did enjoy looking at these beautiful animals. They were adorable. It hits so differently when you can see them for yourself!

7. The Roman Ruins of Jerash– The Perfect Place to Hone your Jordan Travel Photography skills

Walking among these ancient columns, I felt like I had time-traveled. It’s one of the most intact Roman cities outside of Italy—and an easy day trip from Amman. It’s about an hour away from Amman, and you could spend all day here! So much history in this beautiful place!

8. Temple of Artemis

Fewer tourists meant more room to explore and photograph in peace. I had this whole spot to myself.

9. Umm Qays – Ancient Ruins in the North of Jordan

A scenic viewpoint in umm qays wher you can see into Syria, Golan Heights. There are yellow flowers situated in the front of the picture with ruins on a peak.

This quiet Greco-Roman site offers some of the most unique views for Jordan photography lovers. You can see across Jordan, Israel, and Syria from here—it’s a dream for solo travelers and those passionate about capturing Jordan’s history.

10. Scenic Viewpoints on the Start of the Jordan Trail in Northern Jordan

13. The Women of Beit Khayrat Souf

The Women of Beit Khayrat Souf taught us how to make Maqluba and were so incredibly lively. I would recommend everyone go here for a wonderful lunch!

14. Local Connections Over Coffee Bedouin Style

Coffee breaks turned into conversations. Traveling in Jordan taught me: strangers become friends fast here. I bought coffee here for 1JOD and they wanted to treat me like royalty. We had some of the best conversations.

15. Rugged Ridge in Dana Biosphere

Hiking in Dana Biosphere felt like finding the edge of the world. This trek with a local shepherd gave us an inside look at what it’s like for shepherds in Jordan!

16. Food that represents coming together

The food we had at Beit Al Baraka was exceptional. Made by locals with heart and love. We had some of the best food in Jordan, and I absolutely recommend staying here.

17. Tea at every stop, even while hiking the Jordan Trail North section

While on hikes in Jordan, you can get offered tea by your guide. It’s a can’t-miss opportunity, he might even give you dates and biscuits at lunch.

A hilarious and unexpected moment of Jordan travel photography—camels riding in the back of a truck. Taken with my Sony A7II and 55-210mm lens, this is proof that Jordan always surprises.

19. Doors of the Past

I’m obsessed with photographing doors, and Jordan has some of the most character-filled ones I’ve ever seen. This was in Umm Qays, as we were leaving the ground,s I saw this door and just fell in love with the color of it.

A local Bedouin Man playing his Rababa in Little Petra. He sang for us and we cheered him on. He told us he was born in the late 1930’s and when our guide, Feras, asked ” what keeps you young?” the man replied ” I sit here and play this instrumen.t”
